1. What’s your role on the Mafia Wars 2 team?
Lead UI Designer, responsible for the overall user experience, including look, feel, and interaction.
2. How did you end up in the games industry?
I was found by recruiting based on my previous experience in interactive design and advertising.
3. What other Zynga projects have you worked on?
I was previously the Lead UI Designer on Mafia Wars.
4. So far, what’s been your favorite thing about working on Mafia Wars 2?
I’ve enjoyed being a part of creating a game from scratch. Having been a part of the initial prototype, pitch, greenlight process, development, and now launch, it’s been rewarding to see how far we’ve come.
5. What’s the best part about working for Zynga?
The best part about Zynga is how new it feels. We’re doing something different with gaming, that’s touching more people through fun interactive experiences.
6. Are you a gamer? What’s your favorite game?
Yes! My recent favorites are Heavy Rain and LA Noire.
7. What are you most looking forward to when Mafia Wars 2 launches?
I’m looking forward to seeing player’s reactions, good and bad. The best part of our company is our ability to listen to feedback. Once we release, it’s not like it’s over–our game will only continue to improve. I’m also looking forward to a vacation.
